Second Warsaw Meeting on Particle Correlations and Resonances in Heavy
Ion Collisions is a continuation of the
first Warsaw meeting devoted to particle correlations, hosted by our
University in May 2002. About 30 participants attended the last meeting, we expect up to twice
that many this year. Our main purpose is a stimulatin of
exchange of ideas and experience between past (SPS and others) present (RHIC) and
future (LHC) experiments, as well as between experiment and theory.
The meeting is organized under the auspices of Prof. P. Wolanski,
the Vice-Rector of Warsaw University of Technology for Scientific
As last time, the meeting will consist of three days of sessions,
with an additional day for social events.
The site of the conference is the building of Faculty of Physics of WUT.
The participants will be housed in the University hotel with
to the conference site.
The conference starts on October 15th 2003 in the morning and ends at October 17th in the
evening. October 14th is the arrival day. We plan to organize a social
event (an excursion to a historical place in Poland) for October 18th.
The program consists of 6 sessions with an additional session for open
discussion. Each session will contain 5-10 short talks with a significant
portion of time devoted to discussion. Participants are kindly requested
to give a preliminary title of their talk, together with the proposed
duration, while registering
at our website. The preliminary agenda will be posted at the webpage as soon as possible.
A conference fee is 30 Euro and it includes: the bus ticket for the
whole stay in Warsaw, lunches at the University canteen, coffee breaks,
supplementary materials etc. The payment method will be announced later.
